Welcome to the world, babies!

On January 15, 2009, we welcomed into the world Leila Rose Wilgus at 7:37pm weighing 6 lbs. 14 oz and Jonah David Wilgus at 7:38pm weighing 7 lbs. 6 oz. They are beautiful healthy babies that grew inside of me for 37 weeks!

We could not possibly be any happier as parents, or more in love with our babies than we are now. God has blessed us so much in so many ways, and especially by giving us the best gifts in our life :)

We all stayed in the hospital for 5 days and finally got to take the babies home on the 5th day. They - thankfully - did not have to see the ICU or NICU. Leila did, however, have a bit of jaundice and had to stay in the incubator for a day, but after that she was doing great.

It's funny how much their personalities are exactly like they were in the womb. She was so squirmy and kicking me all the time, while Jonah was just the mellow one. Now, Leila is such the squirmy one who fusses and cries and always has to be moving around. Jonah is the most laid back and calm baby who sleeps and just chills out. They are both just so beautiful inside and out.

Our nights are almost sleepless, and we're trying to get on a routine. We have them on the same feeding schedule, which is great. Leila is more fussy at night, and Jonah not so much. In the early mornings(around 5 or 6) is when Jason and I get our best sleep. During the day, we try to nap when they nap. They are sleepiest in the mornings around 9 and 10. That's when we get our breakfast, try to clean up all the messes a bit, and keep on the feeding schedule every 2 hours along with endless diapers and crying! :) It's fun though.. for now, but when Jason leaves back for Korea-- gosh! I'll have to try to find a way to handle double the baby! Ahhh!!! He's so helpful now because we can split the duties. Each of us have one baby. But pretty soon it will be just one parent to two babies! That's my next challenge.

Uncle Cody has been so extremely helpful every day. He rides his bike home fast from school to see his little niece and nephew. He helps carry them, feed, burp, play, and helps me clean up. And Ryan secretly loves the babies even though he tries not to show it :) He plays his guitar for them which they love!

That's the latest for now! This is the only free minute I have to jump on the computer, now onto other baby things!! :)
