Settling in

Now that Jason is back stateside, we are able to do things as a family again; including house projects! We are starting some yard work now that spring is here.. Or at least it's supposed to be. Snowed two days ago. We have had fun family outings to the park, on a marriage/family retreat in Kansas City, Disney on ice, and the kids' first time to the drive in movie theater! That was a blast. It was still a tid bit chilly so we piled on the blankets and pillows and laid the back seats down in our small suv and laid down, eating overly priced snacks(hey, gotta support the only drive in left in the city), and watched The Great and Powerful Oz. Kids fell asleep before it was over though :)

God had really come through for us. I knew He would. He got Jason back here earlier than we expected. He blessed us with being able to own our own home, and allow us to make memories as a family again. When the kids were babies we had to be intentional with raising them to believe in The Lord because we as a couple were still new in being married with Christ at the center. A few years later, I feel us being comfortable with talking about Jesus in our every day conversation. It's just natural now. The kids are well aware of who He is, why He died, how, and who He is to us now. Granted, not in full detail but as much as a preschooler can understand. I find myself constantly reminding the kids that "this" is something Jesus would/would not want us to be doing. I want them to consider Him when making choices to the point where they will question whether this glorifies God or not. 1Corinthians 10:31 says "So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God." I pray that we raise humble servants of God.
